I don't seem to have packed them with my other stuff. :( It was cool to see/meet everyone at Naid, though. I'm probably going to be feeling the after effects of the conference all this week.... One is called Face of the Dragon, and is the musicdisk by Chromatic Dragon (or Alex, for those who met him at NAID). Not all the songs are going to blow your socks of but there's a nice remix of Introspection and some other stuff in there and he could really use some constructive criticism, so that's ftp://wizvax.net/pub/personal/rodman/mdisks/fdragon.* The other is called desperate scream as I announced before and has some IMHO really good rave in it and some other stuff. Does anybody out there know of a way to convert .AMF's into anything other than .AMF's? I an obvious mental breakdown awhile back (round jan '94) and converted practically every darn song i had into the acursed .AMF format. Boy ain't I glad i saved that 8K per mod :(. I was wondering if anyone had a voice sample with something to the effect of "That's not it" or "That isn't right" or something like that. I could just record my voice, but I'd rather have some old lady voice or something. Also, if anyone has sampled the "Maybe you should shake it" from the polaroid Captiva commercial I'd kill for it since my local tv stations haven't played it for quite sometime now. If you do have any of the above you can either EMail me and we could work something out or just uuencode it and shoot it on over. Thanx. This isn't neceessary. Load the entire AMF as a waveform and the samples will be there. Crop out the sounds you want. The problem is of course it will be difficult to properly credit the sample creators... oh well. -- Serve the Computer. The Computer is your friend. The Kosmic Free Music Foundation presents "Cliche" a noize rave tune composed by theHacker of Kosmic in 10-track MultiTracker (MTM) format 3 minutes and 53 seconds long, 164 bpm released April 10th, 1995 Also, check out the Kosmic demo FLIGHT, which won 3rd place at the NAiD 95 demo party, if you haven't already. It is found on ftp://kosmic.wit.com/kosmic/demos/flight.zip It requires 8mb to run, and the faster your PC the better (runs fine on 486DX2-66, pretty lousy on 486SX). Supports GUS, All SB cards and all PAS series cards. The songs from it will be released separately soon. Also, Chuck Biscuit's first Kosmic release will be out later today. - Dan ----------------- Date: Fri, 21 Apr 95 00:16 EET From: "Zach B." LIAR!! hehe :).. it is possible but it would be really fucking tedious. you have to deal with all the different stupid versions of the format and as far as i know OC hasn't doced the effects. so you would have to track something , convert it to amf, then see what the effects map to. And on top of that im sure he does some effect data fiddling to really confuse anyone :). But it IS possible, just not practical. > > > all .AMF's and wondered if anyone knew a way of fixing > > these things so they could be .MOD, .MTM, or .S3M like > > they should so i can theive the samples and dick with > > them a bit >). > > This isn't neceessary.
